Introduction & Christianity

Myanmar is a country with a population of 50,279,900 millions people and 6.3% is Christian according to the 2014 Myanmar Population Census Report . There are 14 States in Myanmar.

Adoniram Judson, Jr. (August 9, 1788 – April 12, 1850) was an American Congregationalist and later Baptist missionary, who served in Burma for almost forty years. At the age of 25, Adoniram Judson became the first Protestant missionary sent from North America to preach in Burma. The Gospel of Jesus Christ had been spread in Myanmar through individual conversions, Evangelistic Crusades and Education.

Current Reality; The Strengths and Weaknesses of  the Church

There are 3,172,479( 6.3 %)  Christians in Myanmar which means that Myanmar has sufficient human resources (Christian) to evangelize its own people and train others for evangelizing.

The Church/Christian in Myanmar is growing slow, unhealthy and declining due to lack of equipping Christian Leader for Evangelism, Mission and Church Planting.

Currently Most Relevant Strategies

• Teach the How of Evangelism, Mission & Church Planting
• Disciple makes Disciples ( Evangelist/ Missionary/Church Planter trains others for Evangelism, Mission and Church Planting)
• Provide Life changing Training
• No language and cultural training
• One leader to train/reach at least 100 souls within one year
• Invite born again Christian Leaders from Non Evangelized Villages, Town and State
• Equip them with evangelizing tools and methods
• Send them home to Go and Make Disciples (Reach the Unreached and plant Churches where there is no Church).

Cornerstone had been motivating, mobilizing and equipping Myanmar Church/Christian for Evangelism, Mission, Church Planting for reaching the unreached, and changing the world with Jesus Christ. We offer Certificate Program in Advanced Christian Leadership For Evangelism, Mission & Church Planting. We offer six days residential Training Program and Three Months Program. It is very specialized studies, very intensive and very expansive.

Total Trained Church Planters: 59 from 12 States/Regions out of total 14 states/Regions in Myanmar ( Chin State, Rakhine State, Kayin State, Shan State, Kachin State, Mon State, Yangon Region, Sagaing, Region, Magwe Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Taninthary Region and Bago Region). Thousands of Christian are waiting to be trained here. Please help us train them for the Gospel Work.
