Widows, Orphans & Vulnerable Children

Myanmar ’s economy is one of the least developed in the world and is suffering the effects of extended isolation and stagnation. Average Myanmar people are poor but among them, widows, orphans and victim of war and natural disaster are most desperate people. While Myanmar culture traditionally places a high value on education, the net enrollment rate in primary schools is close to 80 percent for both boys and girls. However, the net completion rate is only 54 percent. 46% of orphans and vulnerable children in Myanmar are dropping out of School during primary School rashly due to poverty and hunger. Those orphans and vulnerable children have only two choice either to go to School in hunger or to work and eat without schooling.

Cornerstone New Life Center had been working to meet spiritual and physical needs and to restore hope for homeless, helpless and hopeless Widows, orphans & vulnerable children in Myanmar.

New Life Center offers Widows, orphans & Vulnerable children an opportunity to transform from homelessness, helplessness and hopelessness into new life. New Life is dedicated to providing a Christian environment, Spiritual health, Physical health and quality education for Orphans and Vulnerable children in Myanmar and to raising up future Christian Leaders for the light of Christ in Myanmar and beyond to change the nations for Christ.
